With an ethical and constitutional focus, this module introduces the foundations of public law and the values that underpin responsible legal practice. Through the study of the constitutional state, its sources of law and the development of fundamental rights, students gain a solid understanding of the Spanish and European legal system. The module examines the principles of equality, freedom and justice as pillars of democratic coexistence, alongside the duties and safeguards that support them. Learning promotes professional integrity and ethical commitment, essential for legal practice, while strengthening analytical, argumentative and legal advocacy skills. With a workload of 7.5 ECTS (225 hours), it combines lectures, practical case work and tutorials, with assessment based on a practical case (20%) and a final exam (80%), aligned with eserp’s standards of academic and professional ethics excellence.
